Thanks for your reply. I have tried loads of things since posting this, none have worked. I then looked in the little file called Prefs and I think in the General tab I have changed some stuff in the pulling device section. I have tried the little block diagram which is the only thing Yamaha has so far given me, I have changed the connections ports, checked the pull button (was off) and aux connect, I tried changing the drivers to the /usr/local/VST/drivers and the YAMADI_SYSTEM32_ROOT_USBDriver and also the YAMADI_SYSTEM32_ROOT_LPTDriver and applied them, I have changed the pull repeat timeout and cancel timeout, but nothing... I then tried the thing It said on the troubleshooting thing that I could do i.e. disable the USB device and add again with the hard drag flash up and down and even the button.. I have tried all these as you can see and again nothing, I am getting more and more familiar with the power of computers and all it's gismosand the next thing I did was downloading the complete YAMADI software and driver upgrade for the 01U01V96, thinking it might be easier to troubleshoot that way... however when I reboot to the YAMADI software, the hardware USB connection is still not working - all of the info I got from the tutorial says to plug the 01V96 into the computer and it should be working out of the box, not to install a driver and it should work... That's just my theory and I'll be as I have been if I get nowhere, I'll give up, but it's weird even the YAMADI driver install gets the device connected, I can set the settings but it's always disconnected after a reboot, maybe I'll be able to get a soft reset out of it... Let me know if you see something I don't and if you are able to get a soft reset out of it then I'll give it a go and let you know too... I did notice that if I plug a hard cable into USB1 (the USB port on the bottom of the 01V96 Mikro) and then plug another hard cable into USB2 (the USB port on the top of the 01V96 Mikro) then the devices both show up in the list in studio manager.. d2c66b5586
